The key factors are the association with a business, the verification status, the rating, the number of reviews, and, if applicable, an editorial spotlight selection.<\/p>\n        <p>This page explains the differences between <strong>Spotlight<\/strong>, <strong>Verifizierte Top-Ranglisten-Spots<\/strong>, <strong>Verifizierte kuratierte Spots<\/strong>, <strong>Kuratierte Spots<\/strong> and <strong>Orte<\/strong>. It also describes the prerequisites for each group, how locations transition between them, and the impact of group priority on the final order of a ranking.<\/p>\n        <p>The group rules complement the general ranking methodology of Curated Spot. Curated Spots geh\u00f6ren zu einer h\u00f6her priorisierten Gruppe; zus\u00e4tzliche Punkte allein k\u00f6nnen diese Gruppenhierarchie nicht umgehen.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"spotlight\">\n        <h2>Spotlight<\/h2>\n        <p><strong>Spotlight<\/strong> ist die Gruppe mit der h\u00f6chsten Priorit\u00e4t innerhalb der Gruppenhierarchie.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Ein Standort kann nur dann als Spotlight gef\u00fchrt werden, wenn er mit einem Unternehmen verkn\u00fcpft ist. Zus\u00e4tzlich muss er f\u00fcr das konkrete Ranking redaktionell als Spotlight ausgew\u00e4hlt worden sein.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Spotlight ist eine <strong>redaktionelle Auszeichnung<\/strong> und unterscheidet sich damit von Verifizierung, Bewertungsgrenzen, Mindestanzahl an Bewertungen und Ranking-Punkten. Ein hoher Score, eine hohe Bewertung oder viele Bewertungen f\u00fchren nicht automatisch zum Spotlight-Status.<\/p>\n\n        <h3>Spotlight gilt f\u00fcr ein bestimmtes Ranking.<\/h3>\n        <p>Die Spotlight-Auswahl bezieht sich auf das jeweilige Ranking. Ein Standort kann daher in einem bestimmten Ranking redaktionell hervorgehoben werden, ohne dass dies automatisch seinen Status in s\u00e4mtlichen anderen Rankings ver\u00e4ndert.<\/p>\n\n        <h3>Which locations can become Spotlight?<\/h3>\n        <p>Basically, any suitable location linked to a company can be selected as Spotlight. Its natural group can previously be Curated Spots, Verified Curated Spots, or Verified Top Ranked Spots.<\/p>\n\n        <h3>What happens when Spotlight is removed?<\/h3>\n        <p>If the Spotlight designation is removed, the location automatically returns to the group that corresponds to its current actual status.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Depending on the existing conditions, this can be Verified Top Ranked Spots, Verified Curated Spots, or Curated Spots. Removing Spotlight does not automatically remove the location from Curated Spot, and its ranking points are not automatically reset as a result.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"verified-top-ranked-spots\">\n        <h2>Verifizierte Top-Ranglisten-Spots<\/h2>\n        <p><strong>Verifizierte Top-Ranglisten-Spots<\/strong> are locations associated with a company and verified, which additionally meet certain requirements for rating and review volume.<\/p>\n\n        <p>To belong to this group, <strong>all<\/strong> of the following conditions must be met:<\/p>\n\n        <ul>\n            <li>the location is associated with a company;<\/li>\n            <li>the location has Verified status;<\/li>\n            <li>the rating is at least <strong>4,8<\/strong>;<\/li>\n            <li>es liegen mindestens <strong>50 Bewertungen<\/strong> vor.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n\n        <p>The two thresholds for rating and number of reviews apply simultaneously. It is not sufficient to meet only one of the two values.<\/p>\n\n        <h3>Verified Top Ranked Spot does not automatically mean rank #1.<\/h3>\n        <p>The designation of this group is not equivalent to a guarantee for the first place in a ranking.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Multiple locations can simultaneously belong to Verified Top Ranked Spots. Within this group, ranking points determine the order of locations.<\/p>\n\n        <h3>Can a location leave this group again?<\/h3>\n        <p>Yes. Group membership depends on the current status. If one of the required conditions is no longer met, the location returns to the group for which it currently qualifies. If it remains linked to a company and Verified, it is usually Verified Curated Spots.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"verified-curated-spots\">\n        <h2>Verifizierte kuratierte Spots<\/h2>\n        <p><strong>Verifizierte kuratierte Spots<\/strong> are locations that are linked to a company and Verified but currently do not meet both additional requirements for Verified Top Ranked Spots.<\/p>\n\n        <p>A location can, for example, fall into this group if:<\/p>\n\n        <ul>\n            <li>its rating is below 4.8;<\/li>\n            <li>fewer than 50 reviews are available;<\/li>\n            <li>or both requirements are not met.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n\n        <p>Being Verified and qualifying for Verified Top Ranked Spots are two different matters. Verification assigns a suitable location to the verified level of Curated Spot. Only the additional rating and review thresholds determine whether it falls into the higher-priority group Verified Top Ranked Spots.<\/p>\n\n        <p>If a Verified Curated Spot later meets both thresholds, it can switch to Verified Top Ranked Spots.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"curated-spots\">\n        <h2>Kuratierte Spots<\/h2>\n        <p><strong>Kuratierte Spots<\/strong> are locations that are already linked to a company but currently do not have Verified status.<\/p>\n\n        <p>The <strong>company linkage<\/strong> is the defining feature that distinguishes a Curated Spot from a regular Spot.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Once a location is assigned to a business, it moves from Spots to Curated Spots, unless it meets the criteria of a higher-priority group.<\/p>\n\n        <p>After successful verification, a Curated Spot can transition to Verified Curated Spots. If it subsequently meets the thresholds of at least a 4.8 rating and at least 50 reviews, it can move to Verified Top Ranked Spots.<\/p>\n\n        <p>A Curated Spot can also be editorially selected as a Spotlight for an appropriate ranking.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"spots\">\n        <h2>Orte<\/h2>\n        <p><strong>Orte<\/strong> are locations that are currently not assigned to any business.<\/p>\n\n        <p>On a data level, this usually means that no valid <code>business_id<\/code> is present.<\/p>\n\n        <p>The business association is a prerequisite for all higher-priority groups. A location without a business association therefore remains in Spots, even if older or inconsistent metadata still contains a Verified status or a previous Spotlight designation.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Historical metadata thus does not take precedence over a missing business association.<\/p>\n\n        <h3>What happens when a location is disassociated from a business?<\/h3>\n        <p>If a location is disassociated from its previously linked business, it automatically falls back into the Spots group.<\/p>\n\n        <p>If a business is reassigned later, the appropriate group can be re-determined based on the then-current status.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"group-transitions\">\n        <h2>Transition between groups<\/h2>\n\n        <p>The regular progression can be represented as follows:<\/p>\n\n        <ol>\n            <li><strong>Ort<\/strong> \u2014 the location is not assigned to any business.<\/li>\n            <li><strong>Kuratierter Spot<\/strong> \u2014 the location is linked to a business.<\/li>\n            <li><strong>Verifizierter kuratierter Ort<\/strong> \u2014 the linked location receives Verified status.<\/li>\n            <li><strong>Verifizierter top-bewerteter Ort<\/strong> \u2014 the Verified location additionally achieves at least a 4.8 rating and at least 50 reviews.<\/li>\n        <\/ol>\n\n        <p>Independently of this progression, an eligible location linked to a business can be editorially selected as a <strong>Spotlight<\/strong> Spotlight for a specific ranking.<\/p>\n\n        <p>The group assignment is dynamic. Der gro\u00dfe Unterschied bei den Ranking-Punkten ver\u00e4ndert diese Gruppenreihenfolge nicht.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Geh\u00f6ren dagegen beide Standorte zu Curated Spots, k\u00f6nnen ihre Ranking-Punkte entsprechend der geltenden Ranking-Methodik ihre Reihenfolge innerhalb dieser Gruppe bestimmen.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"continuous-rank\">\n        <h2>Continuous ranking positions<\/h2>\n\n        <p>Auch wenn Curated Spot verschiedene Gruppen durch eigene \u00dcberschriften visuell voneinander trennt, bleibt die \u00f6ffentliche Rangnummer <strong>\u00fcber die gesamte Liste hinweg global und fortlaufend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n        <p>Eine Liste kann beispielsweise folgende Positionen anzeigen:<\/p>\n\n        <p><strong>#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n        <p>Beim Beginn einer neuen Gruppe startet die Nummerierung nicht erneut bei #1.
